Abilities Center of Southern New Jersey, a 501c3 nonprofit organization, has been providing workforce development services for people with disabilities and other disadvantages which may be barrier to employment since 1967.
After starting with a single site, Abilities Center has expanded across southern New Jersey and now delivers services in Camden, Gloucester, Burlington, Cape May, Cumberland, Salem and Atlantic counties.
We provide services in vocational evaluation, center-based work experience, community-based employment, school-to-career services and post-secondary transitional services.
Our mobile short-term evaluation services make it possible for people to access services at their location.
We are the largest provider of supported employment in New Jersey, maintain a vast network of resources and have key services credentialed by CARF, the Commission on Accreditatation of Rehabilitation Facilities.
Vocational Evaluation Services, short-term and long-term, are a crucial aspect of our services. We provide our expert services on-site and at mobile locations.
Postsecondary Transition Services are focused on the academic and functional achievement of the child with a disability as he or she goes from school to post-school activities.
People who participate in our transitional center-based employment directly benefit by gaining work experience and job readiness skills. Our production area is a vibrant learning environment.
Abilities Center of Southern New Jersey is continually discovering and building relationships with public and private entities on behalf of th people we serve. People in supported employment are placed in businesses throughout the seven counties of soutern New Jersey. as they progress toward full, competitive employment.
