PASTOR'S MESSAGEI believe that Jesus' ministry set the example for the mission of the church. In Luke 4:18-21, Jesus himself reads Isaiah 61:1-5 which says, "The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the broken hearted, to proclaim freedom to the captives, to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor...to comfort all who mourn and to provide for those who grieve in Zion...". Jesus used His authoritative call to minister to the lost. When He left us glorious ascension, He left this charge to the church. It is a message of deliverance from bondage, consolation for sorrow and power from God for a new life of holiness.
The almighty God in this same spirit is leading us to minister to the whole person through a five-fold vision. The five parts of this vision are spiritual, educational, social, economics, and political. As a congregation we strive to be warmer through fellowship, deeper through discipleship, stronger through worship, broader through ministry, and larger through evangelism.
