TREE CARE TIPS
This Season's TREE CARE TIPS
GRASS ROOTS AND TREE ROOTS DON'T GET ALONG
Keep grass away from tree trunks. The ideal distance is a circle as wide as you expect the branches to grow. Cover the circle with 2 of mulch , spread evenly. Avoid
volcano piles with a high center and mulch spewing out.
Princeton and Lawrence Township residents can pick up
free mulch at The Joseph H. Maher, Jr. Ecological
Center, 3701 Princeton Pike (south of Fackler Road.).
You can also order our double ground wood mulch.
Well spread it, too, if you want.
MIX MULCH WITH GROUND COVER, BULBS
Add a ground cover that is tailored for your yard. I recently
recommended vinca to a client whose tree had high roots
and was on a shaded slope. Plant some of your favorite bulbs
in the ground cover.
RESIDENTIAL AND COMMERCIAL TREE CARE
Trimming, pruning and clean up
Clearing and removal
Storm damage. (Princeton University used us
to pull a 90-foot tree out of Lake Carnegie.)

TREE HEALTH CARE PLANS
We will tailor a plan specifically for your yard and your trees.
Use organic pesticides and fertilizers that protect your trees without spraying the air with chemicals.
List your trees in our computer, then give each tree appropriate organic treatments.
Gypsy moths and aphids wont like our sprays, but theyre safe for your kids and pets.
All our climbers and crew are covered by liability insurance and workman's compensation.
WHAT 35 YEARS EXPERIENCE HAS TAUGHT ME.
As a young climber, I trimmed the top of a plane tree for a woman
who'd seen that look in France. Some owners like stylized looks, others
The best choices address owners preferences along with sites needs.
We framed Pettoranello Park's lake with azaleas. We dramatized Hilltop
Park's skateboard ramps with blue spruces.
Styles change, needs change but the joy of combining soil, light and trees lasts.
SOME SITES I'VE FOUND USEFUL.
