Adath Israel Congregation is an egalitarian Conservative congregation
on a beautiful campus located on Route 206 (1958 Lawrenceville Road) near Rider University. Our campus houses our majestic semi-circular synagogue and a free-standing school building which has been recently renovated. Our congregation consists of approximately 400 families. Members come from all parts of the greater Princeton, Trenton and Bucks County areas. Men and women participate with full equality in all areas of synagogue life.
Children are welcome and encouraged to attend and participate in services. In addition, family Shabbat services are held once each month and other special family-oriented services occur throughout the year.

Adath Israel Sanctuary view from outside

Adath Israel is especially committed to being an innovative and “open congregation” accessible to all. Facilities are on a single floor; special education needs are addressed in our educational system; we have an augmented sound system for the hearing-impaired, a wheelchair seating area, a ramp to access the bimah, and large-print and braille prayerbooks.
Rabbi Daniel Grossman has led the congregation for the past 19 years and has recently received Adath’s Man of the Year award – a rare honor for a rabbi. Hazzan Arthur Katlin prepares all Bar/Bat Mitzvah students and conducts the adult and youth choirs, in addition to his regular cantorial duties.
Spring 2010-Merger Vote
The proposal for Ahavath Israel to merge with Adath Israel has passed. According to the Adath Israel Constitution, a 2/3 vote of the total number of possible voting members was needed to pass this proposal. There are 476 possible voting members, and the final count was 337 YES votes, which is greater than the minimum of 318 required YES votes. There were 10 NO votes. All of the ballots are being saved in the Adath office.
