Jesus Christ said, "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life, no one goes to the Father except through me". This is an awesome truth because it tells us that it doesn't matter how good we are, or perhaps more importantly, how flawed we have been in the past. It is simply through accepting the work that Christ has already accomplished that we have a relationship with God.
This is the nature of our God... that He loves us so much that He died in our place, not because we had earned that love, but rather, while we were yet sinners. This is what we celebrate!
