Criminal Law and Drunk Driving Defense
The firm's Criminal Defense Team (CDT) practices exclusively in the field of criminal law and DWI/DUI defense. Senior Partner Joseph P. Rem, Jr. is a co-founder of the firm. He and James B. Seplowitz head up the (CDT). During Mr. Rem's 35+ years of legal experience, he is one of the most knowledgeable and respected DWI and criminal lawyers in New Jersey, frequently lecturing to other attorneys on trial tactics and strategy, as well as updates in the law. Cited as a New Jersey Super Lawyer for Criminal Defense for the past five years, he is also certified by the New Jersey Supreme Court as a Criminal Trial Attorney. Mr. Rem and Mr. Seplowitz are joined by former appellate law clerk Scott A. Gorman, who was named among the Rising Stars in Criminal Defense in the 2010 New Jersey Super Lawyers, and Joshua Lax, who graduated law school with a Certification in Criminal Law and Procedure and interned both at the Manhattan District Attorney's Office and the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office. Managing Partner Robert Zeller leads the civil and business litigation section of the Rem Zeller Law Group. As a co-founder of the firm, he has over 30 years of legal experience and represents individuals, entrepreneurs, and small businesses in a wide variety of legal matters. While the majority of our practice is litigation-oriented, we also represent clients in business and real estate transactions. Mr. Zeller works closely with his associate, Michelle A. Sweet, who has extensive experience working on a wide variety of civil litigation matters.
