Women's Retreat - A Time For Hope

On the weekend of October 22nd through the 24th, the women of the parish came together once again for their annual retreat. The theme of this year's retreat was hope and Sr. Theresa, director of the Sacred Heart Center, spoke masterfully on the subject. As always the retreat was a great success - friendships were made and renewed, hearts were touched, and the spirit was alive in all.

Laurie Whitfield Shares Her Roadmap to God's Call

On Monday November 1st, our parish was priveleged to have as a guest speaker Ms. Laurie Whitfield who is the Stewardship Director from the Diocese of Rockville Centre on Long Island. Laurie engaged the audience, which was made up primarily of those involved in parish ministry, in an active dialogue of what our true mission here on earth is really all about. The evening closed beautifully with each person partaking in the blessing of hands.

On a beautiful Fall day much like the day our country was attacked on 9/11/2001, the community came togetherto commemorate the fallen victims of that fateful day. In the parish gardens now stands as a memorial,a piece of steel from the North Tower of the World Trade Centerwhichwas dedicatedon October 3rd.
