Giraffes in New Jersey
Here at Animal Kingdom, we have nine giraffesfour which are babies born here in New Jersey. Did you know that baby giraffes weigh about 150 pounds when they are born?
We are lucky enough to have six Tapirs here at Animal Kingdom. Our Tapirs are from South America and are cousin to the horse.
One hump or two?
The camels here at Animal Kingdom have one! Did you know that the camels hump Is used to store fat not water? Camels are from Asia and are at home in the desert. There isnt any desert here at Animal kingdom but we give them a large pile of sand in the summer to lay on.
