We FILL Propane! It's fast and easy!
From seed to feed since 1920, the Belle Mead Co-op is open to the public. It is owned by its employees and 110 of the local farmers and their descendants. The store changed to an llc Corporation in 2000 and shares its profits with its member/owners.
Owned local, Buys local, Profits stay local!
We buy local whenever we can.
Our nursery buys locally grown plants. Most come form south Jersey. Our Pumpkins, Corn Stalks and perennials all come from local growers.
Our feed mill uses grain form local farms. The grain and seed is sold back to our customers to feed their animals and we even make our own wild birdseed.
Our landscape supplies are purchased almost entirely from New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Cedar Mulch from Vermont rather than Canada.
Here at the Belle Mead Co-op we feel it not only makes economic sense to buy local and sell local but it helps the environment.
