Mingxia Li is a Board certified and licensed acupuncturist in the States of New York and New Jersey, as well as Board certified Herbologist of Chinese Medicine. She graduated from Beijing University of Chinese Medicine (BUCM) in 1985, and further her studies with advanced trainings in acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), receiving a graduate certificate from BUCM. For more than ten years, she taught and practiced acupuncture and Chinese Medicine in the Acupuncture Department at BUCM. She has authored several books on Chinese Medicine and numerous articles in Chinese Medicine Journals.

Currently, Mingxia is the Department Chair of Oriental Medicine at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine. At Pacific College, she teaches advanced courses in Oriental Medicine and Acupuncture, and supervises senior students in their clinical training. She also practices acupuncture and Chinese Medicine at the Tao of Healing in the Chelsea section of Manhattan.

Mingxia has been professionally practicing acupuncture and herbology for more than 22 years, and successfully treats a wide range conditions, including allergies, chronic pain, insomnia, and womens health issues.
