Champion K9 is a professionally certified dog training service. We have been training dogs and educating pet owners in Monmouth County, New Jersey, since 1992. To date, we have individually trained more than 3,000 dogs.
We specialize in strictly private one-on-one training with your dog and you, the owner, in order to achieve optimum results in obedience and eliminating bad behaviors that results in the pet you have always wanted.
Our services include On and Off Leash Obedience Training, Puppy Training, Behavior Modification (aggression, obsessive-compulsive, fears, destructive behaviors, separation anxiety, etc. ), Handicapped Assistance Dog training, Personal / Home protection, Search and Rescue preparation, Therapy Dog training and preparation.
MICHAEL BATLAN, owner and head trainer of Champion K-9, is a CERTIFIED MASTER TRAINER. He obtained his Master Trainer's Certification ( State of Ohio Certification # 592-413 ) in 1992 in the following areas of expertise; Obedience, Advanced Off Leash Obedience, Tracking, Handicapped Assistance Dog Training, Police K-9 Training, Personal Protection and Guard Dog Training, Canine Behavior Modification, and Kennel Management.
In addition to his Ohio Certification, he has also received his Certification in Canine Behavior via Cornell University's continuing education program for Animal Professionals. He also holds a California Police K9 training certificate and licence (#94562) which he obtained in pursuit of his advanced studies in canine aggression.
He has also been qualified in the New Jersey courts as an Expert Witness in dog related court cases and has testified on behalf of both prosecution and defense in such cases.
Champion K-9's professional certifications assures our clients that the training we conduct, and the information our client's receive, are humane, ethical, and in the best interests of both owner and pet. All Champion K-9 personnel operate under the guidelines of these certifications.
Our professional association memberships include: The International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants, The Association of Pet Dog Trainers, The Association of Animal Behavior Professionals, The National K9 Dog Trainers Association.
Champion K-9 specializes in private, one-on-one, training programs in order to obtain serious results the owner can use in real life, day-to-day living, with their pet. The training programs we design are tailored to your dog. Every dog is an individual & every home, family, and situation, is unique. Our goal is to give the owner and their pet a complete education that results in the pet and companion they always wanted when they first came home with that puppy or adoptee. We accomplish this by giving the owner the ability to set the rules of the house for your pet, and to control their pets in all situations, through safe, professional training, in the privacy of your own home.
