Background of Gary E. Fox
Attorney Gary E. Fox, Esq. has been practicing law since 1975. He is licensed to practice in the State and Federal Courts of New Jersey and New York. He received his undergraduate education at Brown University, receiving a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences, "with honors," in 1972. He went on to study law and obtain his J.D. Degree in 1975 at Syracuse University where he was the Chairman of the Moot Court Board. Thereafter, he clerked for the Honorable Merritt Lane, Jr., A.J.S.C., assisting the Court in its duties as Chancery Judge and Assignment Judge for all Prerogative Writ and Probate matters. He has been in private practice since 1976, and has been a "name partner" since 1979 in each and every firm of which he was a part. He has acquired vast experience in a broad area of the law over his 31 years of practice and is known as a "tough and aggressive litigator."
He is a member of the Monmouth and New Jersey State Bar Associations. He is or has been a member and/or past Chair of various bar association committees including Chancery Practice, Family Law, Real Estate and Land Development, Land Use, Business Law, Civil Trial Bar, and Individual Rights. He was a member of the Early Settlement program in the Family Court for over 10 years.
Mr. Fox has been counsel of record for numerous reported Appellate Division and Supreme Court decisions that have established legal precedents that are cited in many legal texts and subsequent Court opinions in the areas of family law, land use, civil rights, municipal law, governmental abuse, employment law, and personal injury law. Clients as well as other attorneys have come to rely upon his advice as a result of his many years of experience and expertise in the law and in those areas mentioned above.
Background of Dennis J. Melofchhik
Dennis J. Melofchik obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree from Scranton University in 1968 and obtained his J.D. in Law from Seton Hall University in 1971. He was the law secretary to the Honorable Alton Evans, J.S.C. and the Honorable Lewis Aikins, J.S.C. (1971-1972). He has been practicing law in the State of New Jersey since 1972, United States District Court for the District of New Jersey since 1972, United States Third Circuit Court of Appeals since 1998, and the United States Supreme Court since 1977. He is designated by the New Jersey Supreme Court as a certified trial attorney since 1986. He was the Assistant Prosecutor for Union County from 1973-1974 and for Middlesex County from 1975-1978. He is certified as a trial specialist concentrating in the areas of personal injury, commercial and criminal litigation in New Jersey and the United States Third Circuit. He has also been the Planning Board Attorney for the Borough of Allenhurst from 2000-2002, the Vice-Chairman and Chairman of the New Jersey Supreme Court, District IX Ethics Committee, from 1989-1991, Chairman of the Monmouth County Judicial Review and Performance Committee, New Jersey Supreme Court Task Force on Alternative Dispute Resolution, past Chairman of Monmouth County Civil Trial Practice Committee, Alternative Dispute Resolution specialist, Trustee of the Monmouth County Bar Association and Monmouth County Bar Foundation, lecturer for the Monmouth County Bar Association and lecturer and instructor of the New Jersey Institute of Continuing Legal Education-Trial Advocacy, New Jersey Supreme Court District IX Fee Arbitration Committee (1999-2003), member of the American Bar Association, member of the American Trial Lawyers Association, New Jersey Bar Association, Monmouth County Bar Association, Chairman of Judicial Selection/Monmouth County (2007-2008).
