We are an interdenominational school of more than 170 students in Nursery through Sixth Grades, serving children of all faiths since 1985. Located in Hoboken on the corner of 7th and Washington Streets(Grades K-6), and the corner of Sixth and Clinton Streets (Nursery and Pre-K), the Day School is a ministry of All Saints Episcopal Parish. We will beadding a Seventh Grade in 2010 and an Eighth Grade in 2011. This means that our current Sixth Grade will be graduating in 2012!
The All Saints Middle School Program isa natural extension of the elementary program, with key values and mission initiatives in place. The middle years program isEpiscopal in nature, meaning the school1) is comprehensive and inclusive; 2) values reason as a means to true understanding, 3) demonstrates concern for the well being of society, and 4) allows students to connect religion and spirituality to their learning. Further, the program isdesigned to serve students in grades 5-8 in accordance with research findings about the developmental needs of children at this important stage of life, with programs designed to reach and teach the whole child: academic, artistic, social, physical, emotional and spiritual.
Our ambitious mission enables our children to experience a high quality independent school education in a safe and nurturing school environment. Our professional teaching faculty offers a core curriculum of language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, physical education, and health, as well as an array of special subjects (Spanish, art, music, dance, and community service). Our graduates have earned us a reputation for academic excellence and a well-developed sense of social responsibility. Our school houses bright, open, well-lit and stimulating classrooms, as well as a gymnasium, library, networked computers in every classroom, private outdoor playground, and use of the church for assemblies.
We have a video showing our students and teachers during the course of a day:
