Since 2003 we have been proud to serve Northern New Jersey as a PREMIER Local Comic Shop. Now we're YOUR online local comic shop!
This is, without a doubt, the most difficult message I've had to type in our 8 years in business. As many of you know, we have been fighting to stay open for some time now. Times are tough and it is going to take the economy a long time to recover. Unfortunately, our financial situation means that we are unable to wait until the economy recovers and we will be closing our brick and mortar storefront. We will be open until (and including) Wednesday, November 24th. After that, we will be operating as an online only business.
So, what happens now?We will remain open until 8:00 PM on Wednesday, November 24th. We will be taking the last few days of the month to pack up our remaining inventory and move out of our current location.
We will continue to receive new items up until the moment we close our doors, and even after. As you may remember from last week's newsletter, we have started accepting pre-orders (at a 20% discount) on our website (www.NewMoonComicsWebStore.com). We will be expanding this over the next few weeks. We hope that many of you will choose to remain with us as we transition to an online-based business. We will be keeping our same phone number and we know that you will appreciate the new level of customer service we will be able to provide.
While we will be selling off our remaining inventory, we will not be liquidating our stock (since we are NOT going out of business). Effective immediately, almost all items in the store will be 10% off (the only excluded items will be newer items and restock items like the Walking Dead trades). We will also be selling our fixtures if anyone is interested. They will be available on Monday November 29th and Tuesday November 30th (Cash Only). Please contact Robert for details.
Also, effective immediately, we will no longer be issuing the Frequent/Subscriber Reward cards. All cards that have already been issued will be honored and accepted. Instead, we are offering a 20% discount on all pre-ordered items through our website.
We hope that many of you will stick with us during November and beyond for your comic and gaming needs. We have been privileged to have lived our dream for this many years and, in the process, we have been blessed by meeting the most amazing people and being able to call you friends and family.
If you decide that you no longer wish to continue to come to us for your comic and gaming needs, please let us know so that we no longer continue to hold your items for you. We will not be upset or offended; in fact, we would be honored to help you find a store that will fit your needs.
Someone, not too long ago, said to me that "If you have a problem that a check can fix, then you have no problems at all". With that thought, this situation is not a problem, but a challenge. This store was our dream, and we will, like The Phoenix, rise again!
Our PHYSICAL STORE may be closing, but we'll be alive and well online, with discounts up to 20% on new comics, specials only available to you, our loyal customers/friends!
NOTICE: During public events; sanctioned tournaments and Specific gaming events, the store will remain open. So, if you're coming to the 6:00 PM Friday Night Magic: The Gathering - we are not closing the store at 7:00 PM, we'll remain open until the tournament is complete. Also, we will remain open for YOU. Yes, if you are running late, give us a call - we'll wait for you (within reason, an hour or more could be asking a bit much) because that is how important you are.
