Welcome to Egenolf Early Childhood Center
An icon for quality early care and education in the city of Elizabeth, NJ since 1890
While riding down Newark Avenue in the city of Elizabeth, New Jersey, you can't help but stop and experience a beacon of childhood arising from the pavement. A celebration of colors, a dance of pixies, and a sense of pride, and an awareness of children emanates from the structure. You are drawn to its passion and liveliness. You soon learn that you have become acquainted with Egenolf Early Childhood Center. You see children leaving this sanctuary with imagination and wonder; parents consumed with contentment and peace. You get closer to encounter the magic for yourself. Upon entering the red door, you feel a sense of tranquility with an undercurrent of merriment and streams of knowledge.
You wonder down the hallways alive with children's work celebrating early learning infused in bright colors and artistic representations, each distinctive and unique. You pause to observe the activities in one of the ten classrooms' specially designed hallway windows and are enthused to see a group of 15 young children rapt in a wonderland of imagination and knowledge. Teachers and their assistants engage the children in rich conversations driven by questions designed to excite their thoughts and ideas. The classroom is a rainbow of colors, textures, sounds, and objects. You feel encouraged for a bright future for the children who have the opportunity to participate in this wondrous program.
