HOW WE STARTED
Established in 1955 by Martin Schmiede, The Schmiede Tree Expert Company is dedicated to trees and their proper treatment with experience in tree maintenance, disease diagnosis, tree pest management, and tree planting. Whether it is one or one hundred trees, our goal is to provide the finest in tree care in both residential and commercial properties. Walter and Martin Schmiede have dedicated their lives to the art and science of trees.

OUR WORK ATTITUDE
Based on six decades of experience, Martin and Walter Schmiede have established Schmiede Tree Expert company that uses the latest methods to diagnose current and potential problems for plants and trees caused by disease, insect infestation, malnutrition, toxins and environmental detriments.

One of our finest testimonials of our work started with the transplanting and preservation of native trees along the Garden State Parkway during its early construction in the 1950s.

Martin Schmiede, founder of Schmiede Tree Expert Company, received his New Jersey Tree Expert Certification in 1961. His degree in botany, horticulture, and biology coupled with many years of experience has made him an expert in the field. He continues to expand his expertise by attending seminars and maintaining strong relations with horticulture groups. A recent publication, "Trees our Precious Heritage", displays Martin Schmiedes expertise.

Walter Schmiede received his New Jersey Certified Tree Expert license in 1984 and has been the driving force in the business for over 30 years. His specialty extends to all North American indigent trees and allows for quick and accurate diagnostics and solutions. Supervision of the most technical jobs are done by Walter Schmiede to ensure safety and optimal performance.

Diagnostics of tree aliments can almost always be immediately determined. Common problems range from physical environmental changes to parasite infestation to malnutrition and decay.

Seasonal decorating allows us to assist in holiday light installation.

Equipped with a 22 ton 144 RO Stinger Crane and a 14 ton 60 crane we can handle the largest, most difficult jobs safely and efficiently. Mainly used for tree loading and transportation, our cranes enable us to complete jobs quickly and effectively.
