"Helping people help pets". To better the lives of sick, injured and abused companion animals. We are dedicated to insure that no companion animal has to be euthanized simply because their caretaker is financially challenged.

To educate on the importance of spay and neuter in relation to proven health risks for intact animals. And to offer financial aid for spay and neuter to caretakers who cannot afford to have their pet spayed or neutered.
IMOM will always do everything we can to help a sick, injured or abused companion animal regardless of species or breed.
Dedication, Focus and Determination
For the last 12 years, a small group of dedicated volunteers have worked tirelessly to achieve seemingly impossible goals.
At the time of IMOMs inception, IMOM had no mentors -- no other organizations to pattern ourselves after. No one was doing what IMOM wanted to do for sick, injured, and abused companion animals. We had to turn our focus to the one tool we all possessed. That tool was a strong desire and determination to help people help pets.
Since 1998, IMOM has funded non-routine veterinary care for more than 1800 companion animals. Funds paid out to veterinarians and pharmacies have surpassed our wildest dreams.
For our accomplishments we thank our team of volunteers, our community of supporters and the more than 1000 veterinarians nationwide who have worked with us. We could not have done it without all of you. We are eternally grateful to you for confidence and trust in our organization.
Spay and Neuter
At IMOM we strongly advocate spay and neuter. We have seen the health and behavior consequences of not having pets spayed and neutered. And we are painfully aware of pet overpopulation. There are far too many homeless animals. Rescues and shelters are overflowing.
Because IMOM's mission is to help sick and injured pets, we see a side of the spay/neuter issue that many animal welfare organizations do not. That is the health risks for intact animals.
IMOM has seen a very large number of pets who were sick from something that could have been prevented if the pet had been spayed or neutered. 3.89% of our emergency cases have been for illnesses that absolutely could have been prevented if the pet had been spayed or neutered. However I can say in all honesty - we have never had a caretaker come to us looking for help because they DID have their pet spayed or neutered.
