2010 THANKSGIVING FOOD DRIVE FOR THE NEIGHBORHOOD CENTER
The Outreach Committee is again working with the Camden Neighborhood Food Center in their Thanksgiving Food Drive. The Center helps provide Thanksgiving for families who otherwise would not have a dinner. We were so blessed with the contributions from our church last year, and have, in prayer, the same hope for this year.
PACK THE FOLLOWING NON-PERISHABLE ITEMS FOR A FAMILY OF TWO IN A BOX APPROXIMATELY 12 X 16(larger families receive additional boxes)
1 box of stuffing 1 medium bag of rice
1 box of hot or cold cereal 3 cans vegetables
1 large can of fruit 1 can cranberry sauce
1 large can of fruit juice 2 large cans tuna fish
1 can/jar of gravy 1 jar peanut butter
1 package macaroni & cheese 1 jar jelly
1 package pasta & pasta sauce 1 box or can of potatoes
Extra items needed: Jars of Jelly/Bottles of Juice
Please pack the following items separately:
*Turkey, any size Medium-size bags yams
Canned Hams, any size Fresh Vegetables
Medium-size (5 lb) bags potatoes
Please note: Do not pack turkeys, hams or fresh vegetables (such as yams or potatoes, onions, carrots) in the box. These items will be given out separately along with the box of canned or packaged food.
We can no longer accept cake mixes, muffin mixes, flour or pancake mixes. Bring turkeys, canned hams and fresh vegetables to church on Monday morning November 22nd between 8:30 & 9:30 a.m. Monetary donations in the form of a check or Shop Rite Gift Card will be accepted. Make check payable to: Neighborhood Center, Inc. and leave in the church office or give to Sharon Zollers.
Food will be delivered Monday, Nov. 22nd . Boxes can be dropped off at church between Sunday, Nov. 14th and Monday, Nov. 22nd .
