where professional quality dancers are created and students are inspired with the joy and love of dance. At the Academy, dance instruction is exciting, safe and a challenging experience that can yield results. Dance classes at the Academy are limited in size so that every dancer receives personal care and attention.
A major focus at the Academy is classical ballet, including pointe work and performance workshop classes. The Academy is the only area dance school to provide Pilates and GYROTONICclasses as well as training in modern dance at all levels. Modern students are trained with a blend of Graham, Horton and Cunningham techniques. Jazz students have an opportunity to learn jazz technique, as well as hip hop, and beginner and Intermediate levels of tap are offered. Students at the Academy are placed in levelsbased on a combination of age and ability. Ballet classes are free for male students ages 3-18.
A Guide for Parents

The Academy will be open on Veterans Day – Thursday November 11th. All classses will run. The Academy will be closed from Wednesday November 24th through Sunday November 28th., for the Thanksgiving Holiday. Classes resume on Monday November 29th. Classes missed on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday may be made up at your convenience.
