Pappa Contracting was established in 1987. Owners Scott and Michael Pappa come from a building construction background, which gives us a distinct advantage over the typical landscaper who cuts grass and decides to go into the paving stone business "as a side line". We have specialized in hard-scape construction and the creation of outdoor living spaces. We are I.C.P.I. certified for paving stone installation and N.C.M.A. certified for retaining walls. Our company has invested in state of the art excavation and compaction equipment, which is the key to building a project that will last for years.

We grew up in the paving stone and retaining wall industry. Our experience in pool-scaping is second to none, having worked with concrete, vinyl liner, and fiberglass in-ground pools. Our pool finishes make a vinyl or fiberglass pool indistinguishable from a costly concrete pool.

In 2002 we installed an outdoor hard-scape display, to show different styles of paving stones, pool copings, and retaining walls at the "Pools by Brown" show room, on Route 23 North in Butler, NJ. This allows our clients to see the products and aid in their decision making, instead of picking their project out of a brochure.

In 2005 we opened our second business location at 56 Route 94, Vernon, NJ, 07462. This is where our main office is located and in the Spring of 2007, we will open our outdoor living design center. This will be an expanded version of our Rt. 23 display, where our clients can experience the different hard-scaping products and ideas to make the most of their projects.
