Helen Lacognata is the director and owner of both Small World Child Development Center Inc. locations. Helen graduated from Rutgers University with a bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Teaching Certificate in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. She has been teaching in the field of Early Childhood for 15 years. With two young children of her own, she understands the need for high-quality schools.
Each location has assistant directors to run the day-to-day operations. Helen works closely with the assistant directors, teachers, parents, and children everyday to ensure a safe, loving environment where children are able to learn.

Waldwick Center: 76 children ages 2 months to 10 years old (6 to 10 children in the after-school care and camp only)
Park Ridge Center: 37 children ages 2 months to 6 years
