Our 5,000 square foot facility includes three large corrals where our guests spend the day romping, playing and making new friends. Our mission is to provide our community with a safe, supervised environment to bring your pooch while you are at work, on vacation, or just want them to have a play date. Rover Ranch is New Jerseys Premiere Doggie Day care center. Our guests have supervised playtime all day in play areas lined with orthopedic non-porous rubberized flooring. This special flooring is gentle on their paws and allows our guests to run and play to their hearts content. Each corral is manned by a Ranch Hand who is trained to be the Alpha leader of the group. Cleanliness, safety and comfort are a top priority. Drinking water is available all day long as well as suitable toys for all to share. The water is changed several times during the day and our guests are also walked outside several times during their stay with us. We ask that you provide your own dog food and label all personal items. Changing your dogs diet even for a short stay can cause stomach upset. We can however provide a meal of our recommended Lifes Abundance Holistic dog food for a charge of $2-4 per meal (depending on size of pooch). It is perfect for those with allergies, skin problems, lethargy, arthritis and many other ailments. Pooches must also be on Heatworm and Flea & Tick Control and be wearing a soft collar (leather or nylon) with ID tag. Please also let us know if you would like to have your pooch groomed or bathed during their stay with us.
Be prepared and make your reservations early for the following holiday weekends, (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, Memorial Day, July 4th and Labor Day Weekends). All reservations must be pre-paid. We accept reservations months in advance and will gladly issue a refund with 7 days notice of cancellation only. Any cancellation requests less than 7 days in advance will receive a full store credit (14 day advance notice for holidays). Thank you for respecting our policies.
Liz and Marty after spending many years in advertising decided that they wanted to pursue their dream of owning a business. Their love of dogs and the need for quality doggie daycare and boarding in this area prompted them to open Rover Ranch and Spa. Two years in development Rover Ranch finally opened in October of 2006. Four months later Marty was diagnosed with cancer and passed away. Liz has kept her husbands dream alive and continues to run Rover Ranch along with a wonderful group of employees who love dogs as much as she does. Rover Ranchs steady growth and loyal clientele over the years is a testament to Liz and Martys vision of providing a safe fun atmosphere where dogs can be dogs.
